"I see the moon...."

This picture is a couple of weeks old, but our camera batteries need to be charged. This means I must locate the charger.

Ethan seems to be growing by leaps and bounds these days, and he seems to be learning at a very fast rate. There are times that I might mention something to him ONCE in a conversation, and he will hold onto it as fact and bring it up over and over again.

He also has a new obsession with the moon! A couple of weeks ago, Jesse called us out to see the full moon. Ethan loved it! Ever since, he always wants to go outside to see the moon.... day or night. He had to learn that you can only see the moon at night. So.. this brought up a conversation about "light" and "dark." Where Mama and Daddy can make a room light or dark, we can't make it light or dark outside. Of course, we included talk about the sun, moon and stars... and the clouds in the sky. AND.. darkness doesn't usually come until after we put on our PJ's. Waiting can be very frustrating... esp when you have been waiting all day, talking about the moon, then, the clouds hide the moon. ....very disappointing.

Milestones:
*Colors: He KNOWS yellow! He picks out everything yellow and says "yah-Low." He seems to know white which is NOT a color I have gone out of my way to teach him. I really don't know where he picked it up! Blue and red - he gets them sometimes. He confuses them from time to time, though.
*Numbers: He can definitely count to three... Sometimes he just spouts number jumble. "Tree, Two, Four!" On a rare occasion, he will count from one to five!!!! This is definitely not consistent yet!
*Reading: He can identify the letter "E!" AND.. he knows that "E" stands for ETHAN! (aka E - AH)

I think you ought to dress Ethan as Gene Simmons of Kiss for Halloween! He's certainly got the tongue part down pat.

I also love this phone, however, he's looking so much more BOY and so much less baby or toddler! Must be time for another one, huh...
